The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combo is the ideal option for pets that shed fur. It can mop and vacuum, and even clean and dry its own mop pads.

It also has 8,000Pa suction, which is the most of any robot that we've examined. It also can save maps of your home and schedule cleaning schedules using its app.

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind you'd find in self-driving cars -- and can scan up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. This means more precise mapping and faster response times and better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard-to-clean areas than traditional mopping. During my testing the X2 Omni took just over one minute to wash its pad before getting to work, and I noticed that it was more precise than the previous models, which were able to follow a grid-like route around rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms with its corners and edges as well as create a "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop using hot water before beginning another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products, the X2 Omni is a breeze to set up and start using. It takes only a few minutes to snap the dock into place, plug it in, and pair with your home Wi-Fi network. You can then open the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to dive into the settings and modify my floor plan within about 15 minutes, which included creating specific areas for sweeping and mopping as well as reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni performed admirably in my tests. It scored high in the areas of pet hair removal as well as debris removal, and also was near-perfect in its results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is a powerful mopping and vacuum machine. It is the most advanced of the T-line of the brand and comes with the latest OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that utilizes dual-spinning brushes to provide more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It has YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is the first of its kind. This allows it to respond to various voice commands. You can make use of the ECOVACS app to map your home, create cleaning schedules, and adjust settings.

The main flaw of the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between vacuuming and mopping in one run. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off according to your needs. This is fine for the majority of households, but not for those with busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is an excellent robot vacuum that produces impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of the dust we tossed at it our hardwood floors which is an impressive performance. It did a great job on tiles and carpets, removing the majority of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mop has a large docking system that allows for automatic cleaning using cool water for the mop pads. It also features an auto-emptying 3L bag which is easy to replace and hot air drying for fast and simple maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

As with other mopping robots like the Deebot T10 Omni, it features a wash tray in its base that cleans and dries the mop pads as it uses them. It does not have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will slowly build up on the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It offers enhanced smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, in addition to twin-turbine suction technology that automatically adapts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner however it doesn't exactly live up to its promise of being an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with sweeper wheels and a raised sensor area. However, flip it over you'll see a motorised floor brush plus a single side sweeper brush which pushes dirt from the edges of the machine into the main path of the robot's'mouth'. It's a little smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba j7: Smart Mapping Vacuum Cleaner Roomba S9, which I discovered makes it easier to fit under sofas and chairs.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated, allowing you to set no-mop zones as well as specific cleaning zones. However it is prone to bump into things (including its charging dock) and isn't always adept in negotiating rug. It was effective in getting pet hair off of carpets. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of cat litter.

Although it can be controlled via the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base, which allow you to select a cleaning mode, and switch the robot off or on. These buttons can be used to establish zones that are not allowed to be visited and to view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty, and will tell what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or alert you when something isn't right.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, which includes two cleaning modes, an automatic docking station and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled via the Neato app where cleaning can be scheduled and the overall maintenance requirements monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with hardwood floors and carpet, but it requires some advanced planning to avoid getting stuck on electrical cords, toys, or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

This robot was very successful in our tests of hardwood floors and food particles. It ate everything from one rice grain to a variety of dog food pieces with just one pass. It had some trouble with rugs but, generally speaking this vacuum cleaner is great for large rooms that have both types of flooring and a mix of pets.

It is a bit pricey, but if you can manage the price, it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave their homes free to do other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to get rid of the most difficult spills or dirt. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to define the boundaries of the robot.

This budget-friendly choice from a well-known brand is the cheapest robot we've tested yet and offers an outstanding value for cost. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not able to map rooms. This renders it less efficient as other models on this list. However it's still able navigate under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode performed well during our tests it picked up pet hair and other debris with ease.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles and floors that are not covered. It also makes use of smart-pathing navigational software for greater mobility. It also lets you assign it to a specific room, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It lets you stop and restart cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. It also comes with a set of side brushes that are angled to go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander, and allergens for cleaner air.

The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It works with a smartphone application that allows you to change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app also lets you view the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications about any issues it encounters during a cleaning session. You can make use of your voice to control it with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device or, if you don't have either of those, you can mark off areas with physical boundary marker strips.

The iQ is great in cleaning floors with no dirt and is able to do a decent job on shaggy and low-pile carpets. However, it doesn't offer the same level autonomy as our top picks. It is also expensive and its recurring cost can increase.lefant-m210p-robot-vacuum-cleaner-featured-carpet-cleaner-small-robot-7-8cm-thin-28cm-dia-robotic-vacuum-alexa-voice-control-self-charging-ideal-for-pet-hair-hard-floor-and-carpet-3421.jpg
